📅 CBC Assessment Calendar — what teachers plan around

We map our content delivery to the term-based teacher mental model: CAT 1 / CAT 2 / End-of-Term, with KPSEA (G6) and KJSEA (G9) at the end of Term 3.

Term 1 (Jan – Apr)	CAT 1 (mid-term) End-of-Term 1 Assessment	Diagnostic baseline; recap previous-year strands; introduce new strands.
Term 2 (May – Aug)	CAT 2 (mid-term) End-of-Term 2 Assessment	Heaviest content delivery; CBA / KSEA mock examinations occur here.
Term 3 (Sep – Nov)	Final mocks (Grade 6, 9) KPSEA — early November (Grade 6) KJSEA — late October / early November (Grade 9)	Revision-heavy. Career and pathway choice for Grade 9 finalised.
