The lesson

Do any of you know what a prophet is? Allah, in His great mercy, sent prophets to teach people about Him and how to live good, righteous lives. Imagine someone who shows you the right path when you are lost — that's what prophets do! Many prophets are mentioned in the Qur'an, like Adam, Nuh, Ibrahim, Musa, Isa, and finally Muhammad — peace be upon all of them. These are our heroes of faith! Here is the most important part: as Muslims, we believe in ALL the prophets. It's part of our Iman, our faith. We don't pick and choose — we respect every messenger Allah sent. Today, we're going to learn more about these amazing people and how they guide us.

Worked examples

Prophet Adam (AS) – The First Prophet

Can you guess who that is? That's right — Prophet Adam, peace be upon him! At these points. Prophet Adam was the first human, created by Allah from clay. Imagine that — Allah took clay from the earth, shaped it, and breathed life into it. Wow! Allah taught Adam the names of everything — every animal, every plant, every star. That means Adam was very smart! Here's something important you can learn from Prophet Adam. One day, he made a mistake and ate from a tree he was told not to eat from. Adam did something brave — he said sorry to Allah, and he meant it. He repented sincerely)Skip this mistake. Guess what? Allah forgave him! This teaches us a beautiful lesson: when we do something wrong, like telling a lie or hurting a friend's feelings, we should say sorry to Allah and ask for forgiveness. Just like when you say sorry to your parents or your teacher here in Kenya, Adam showed us to say sorry to Allah. My friends, remember: Prophet Adam was the first human and first prophet. He was created from clay, he learned so much from Allah, and when he made a mistake, he repented and Allah forgave him. That's the power of tawbah — sincere repentance. You can always turn back to Allah, no matter what.

Prophet Nuh (AS) – The Patient Messenger

His name is Prophet Nuh, peace be upon him. You know what? In our Kenyan way, we can call him a true 'patient warrior' – because he showed incredible sabr, which means patience. At this first point. Prophet Nuh called his people to worship Allah alone for 950 years. Think about that – 950 years! That's like... If your great-great-great-great-grandfather started something, it would still be going today. That is a very, very long time. During all those years, the people were not listening. They kept worshipping idols and statues. Did Prophet Nuh give up? He kept calling them, day after day, year after year. How many of you have ever waited for the long rains to come? In some parts of Kenya, like in the dry lands of Turkana, people wait and wait for the rain. The ground gets hot and dusty, the animals get thirsty, and the crops dry up. The people don't give up hope. They keep praying, keep preparing, knowing that Allah will send the rain in His time. That is exactly how Prophet Nuh felt! He waited patiently for his people to change their hearts, just like farmers wait patiently for the rains. You know what? Allah did answer his prayer – just not in the way anyone expected. What does this teach us? Even when things are hard, even when nobody seems to be listening or changing, we should keep doing the right thing. When your teacher asks you to be kind, and nobody else is being kind – you be kind. When your parents tell you to work hard in school, and your friends are playing – you work hard. That is the lesson of Prophet Nuh: do good, stay patient, and trust in Allah's plan.

Prophet Ibrahim (AS) – The Friend of Allah

Allah called him His friend. Can you imagine being called a friend of Allah? Let's find out why! The word 'Khalilullah' means 'Friend of Allah'. Ibrahim earned this name because he trusted Allah completely, no matter what. It's like having a best friend you can always depend on – that's how Ibrahim's relationship with Allah was. One day, Allah asked Ibrahim to do the hardest thing ever – to sacrifice his own son. Can you imagine how difficult that was? Ibrahim said, 'I trust You, Allah,' and he was ready to obey. Because of his trust, Allah sent a ram instead of his son. This teaches us that when we trust Allah completely, He rewards us in wonderful ways. Think about a farmer in Kenya. When they plant seeds, they don't worry every day – they trust that the rains will come and the seeds will grow. That is exactly how Ibrahim trusted Allah. He did what Allah asked, and he believed Allah would take care of everything. You see, trust is like planting a seed – you do your part and trust Allah for the rest. Today we learned that Prophet Ibrahim is called the Friend of Allah because of his amazing trust and obedience. Next time you face something hard, remember Ibrahim and trust that Allah knows what is best. Great job, everyone!

Virtues of the Prophets

The wonderful virtues we learn from the prophets. These are like treasures that help us become good people. First, patience! Prophet Nuh was very patient even when people didn't listen to him. When you face a hard math problem or a tough day at home, be like Prophet Nuh and stay patient. Second, trust. Prophet Ibrahim trusted Allah completely, even when he was thrown into a big fire. In Kenya, when we face drought or hard times, we put our trust in Allah to take care of us. Third, repentance. Prophet Adam made a mistake and immediately asked Allah for forgiveness. Whenever we make mistakes, we should say 'Astaghfirullah' and try to do better. These three virtues – patience, trust, and repentance – help us become better Muslims and better Kenyans. Let's practice them every day!

Prophets Mentioned in the Qur'an – Recap

To review the prophets mentioned in the Qur'an. We've learned about them before, so this will be a quick recap! As Muslims, we honor and respect all of Allah's messengers. Every single one of them brought guidance from Allah. We have prophets like Adam, Nuh, Ibrahim, Musa, Isa, and finally Prophet Muhammad, peace be upon them all. There are 25 prophets named in the Qur'an, and we believe in all of them. Each prophet had a special message from Allah and showed beautiful character. For example, Prophet Ibrahim was known for his patience and trust in Allah. Prophet Musa stood up against Pharaoh. Prophet Muhammad taught us to be kind and honest. Always remember: believing in all prophets is a core part of our Iman. Great job today, everyone!

What We Learned Today

Class, let's take a moment to look back at everything we've learned today about the special messengers of Allah – the prophets. We saw that prophets are chosen by Allah to guide us. From Prophet Adam we learned about repentance – saying sorry and meaning it. From Prophet Nuh we learned patience – he kept calling his people for 950 years! From Prophet Ibrahim we learned trust – he was ready to obey Allah even when it was hard. This week, try to practice one of these virtues. Maybe be patient like Nuh when your little brother or sister annoys you. Remember: loving all the prophets is part of our Iman – our faith. Let's think about how we can take these lessons home.
