The lesson

Who is Allah? Allah is the One who made everything. He made the sun, the moon, the trees, the animals – and He made you and me! That is why we say: Allah is our Creator, and we believe in Him. Allah has beautiful names. One of them is Al-Rahman, which means 'The Most Loving.' Al-Rahman loves us so much. He gives us food, water, and our families because He loves us. Another name is Al-Khaliq, which means 'The Creator.' Al-Khaliq made everything you can see: the big mountains, the rivers, the beautiful birds like the African fish eagle, and even the tiny ants. Isn't that amazing? Today we learned two special names of Allah: Al-Rahman, the Most Loving, and Al-Khaliq, the Creator. These names remind us that Allah loves us and made everything for us. Next time you see a beautiful flower or a friendly dog, remember: Al-Khaliq made that, and Al-Rahman loves you.

Assalamu Alaikum, class! Al-Rahman means Allah is very kind and merciful. He is kind to everyone — to you, to your family, and even to animals and plants. For example, when it rains in Nairobi, Allah gives water to the plants and animals. The trees drink the water. The cows drink the water. We get water to drink too. That is Allah's mercy because He is Al-Rahman. Remember: Al-Rahman means Allah is very kind. He gives us food, water, and our families because He is Al-Rahman. Great job today, everyone! You learned a very special name of Allah. Try to remember Al-Rahman when you see the rain or eat your favourite meal.

It is Al-Khaliq. Let me say it together: Al-Khaliq. Can you say it with me? Al-Khaliq means 'The Creator.' That means Allah is the one who made everything. Everything you see around you — the sky, the trees, your friends — Allah created it all. At this list! Allah created the sky and the sun. He made the moon that shines at night and the stars that twinkle. He even created all the animals — like the lions in the savanna, the fish in Lake Victoria, and the birds flying above us. This is Lake Nakuru in Kenya. Isn't it beautiful? The water, the trees, the flamingos — Allah made all of it. He created that lake just for us to enjoy. I want you to think. Can you name something else that Allah created? Maybe something you saw this morning on your way to school? Remember, Al-Khaliq means Allah created everything. Because He created everything, only He deserves our thanks and our love. Great job today, everyone!

Allah is Al-Rahman, the Most Merciful, and Al-Khaliq, the Creator. We see Allah's mercy everywhere — in the rain that waters our crops, and in the food we eat. He is so kind to us! We also learned that Allah is Al-Khaliq, the Creator. He made the animals like cows and chickens, and the plants like maize and beans. Around — everything is His creation! Let us thank Allah for all these blessings! You did a wonderful job today, everyone. Always remember: Allah is Al-Rahman and Al-Khaliq. Alhamdulillah!

Worked examples

Allah's Mercy in Caring for Us

At the title: 'Allah's Mercy: The Story of Amina'. It says 'A Kenyan Girl Who Was Thirsty'. Let's imagine a girl in Kenya named Amina. She is very thirsty and needs water to drink. At these points. Amina is very thirsty. Allah is Al-Rahman, the Most Merciful. He sends rain so she can drink clean water. This shows how much Allah loves and cares for us. Isn't that amazing? Allah cares for every person, even a little girl far away in Kenya. He gives us water, food, and everything we need. Today we learned that Allah's mercy means He provides for us. Just like He gave rain to Amina, He gives us what we need every day.

Allah Created Animals

We know Allah created all the animals. Let's think about one very special animal — the giraffe! Have you ever seen a giraffe? Maybe in a book or on a trip? At how amazing it is. Allah made it just right for its home. See its long neck? That's not by accident. Allah gave the giraffe a long neck so it can reach the tastiest leaves at the top of tall trees. Those spots? They help it hide from danger. Everything about the giraffe is perfect for its life. When we see a giraffe, or any animal, we should remember: Allah is Al-Khaliq, the Creator. He made everything perfectly. Let's thank Him for all the wonderful animals He created!

Allah Created Plants

How Allah created the plants we eat every day. Sukuma wiki is a vegetable many of us love. Sukuma wiki grows in many gardens here in Kenya. Allah made it grow so we can have fresh vegetables. At the seed. Allah gives it power to grow into a big, healthy plant. He is Al-Khaliq, the Creator. We eat sukuma wiki because Allah provides it for us. Isn't that wonderful? Always remember: Al-Khaliq gives us healthy food every day. Thank Allah for the sukuma wiki on your plate!
